It begins at the train station, the guy sees the girl walking up to him, the strong breeze of wind blew his paper, one of his paper lands on the girl's face. He took his paper and it made the girl laugh/smile because the girl's red lipstick mark was on it. At work he looks out the window and sees the same girl, he was handed a pile of paperwork at work, he used those paperworks to make paper airplane so he could throw it across from his building to her, it didn't work. The guy ran out his workplace to find the girl, but couldn't find her. The paper airplanes came to life and brought those two together by making a path for them to follow, so they can be together.
My favourite scene/moment from the short was when he left his workplace to go look for the one he loved, Why? because to me it sends a message saying "just do what you truly feel and don't let anything block what you truly feel".
The artwork in the film is like animated silhouette, it was not done by cardboard but on the computer and silhouette tends to be black and white, even if the figure isn't black or white.
The artwork influence the mood by using two people, a city background, and moving paper airplanes.
The use of black and white was to show us that the guy saw everything the same, but since he met the girl with red lips he had the courage to leave everything behind and go after her.
The sound was a fast high pitch beat when he runs out of his workplace.
They used light for the background mostly to show that it's farther, mix of gray to make it look near the people, and for the character it was black to make it so they standout.
The motion was 2D animation.
I like the title "paperman", even if it confusing to those that thought it was about a paperman, which is really not. It's nice and simple, because just from watching it, if you or I was to title this short, the title would be like a sentence.

Stake are higher, something new to experience.
It takes short film 3-6 months and animation 5-10 years.
Twist on the short film.
More manageable because it take less time to finish.
Get to test out new technology for short.
instead of using technology, create it.
Short take 5-7 min to watch.
